Harps Add To Towns String Of Defeats

Athlone Town 0-1 Finn Harps. Athlone Town Stadium
A Kevin McHugh goal 20 minutes into the match was enough to give Harps all 3 points and leave Athlone, deservedly, with nothing on a warm evening in Lissywollen.
In an all too worrying trend, you could count the number of genuine Athlone attacks on 1 hand, and even worse you could count the number of times Harps keeper Ciaran Gallagher was called into action on a couple of fingers.
The only positives I could take from the game was seeing Damien Rushe make his comeback after a season with local side St Peters while Mark Walshe also returned from injury to take his place in the heart of defense.
